Seven Members Join Teragen Energy’s Advisory Board
BOSTON, Mass., September 15, 2026 - Teragen Energy, an advanced fuel cell company building modular power solutions for data centers, industrial sites, and utilities, today announces the appointment of its initial advisory board members: Alan White, Dorian West, Lorraine Akiba, Mike Tucker, David Peterson, Rick Hunter, and Esben Pedersen. These seven energy leaders bring tremendous breadth and depth of expertise to Teragen, accelerating the company’s commercialization of its advanced solid oxide fuel cell solution.
Alan White joins Teragen Energy as a Business Advisor, supporting Teragen’s business development. Alan is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned executive in energy, mobility, and transportation solutions. Alan is currently the Head of Emerging Platforms at Siemens, where he develops and drives next-generation energy and transportation businesses within the Smart Infrastructure CTO office. Prior to Siemens, Alan was the Chief Business Officer of eMobility at Enel X, following Enel X’s acquisition of eMotorwerks. Alan holds an M.S. in Operations Management from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Union College.
Dorian West joins Teragen Energy as an Engineering Advisor, providing strategic guidance on engineering design, prototyping, product roadmapping, and manufacturing bring-up. Dorian is currently advising various mission-driven companies, after spending 25 years leading highly successful engineering teams. He was most recently a Co-Founder and EVP Engineering at Electric Hydrogen. Prior to Electric Hydrogen, he was at Tesla where he most notably guided teams developing products from the original Roadster, Model S, and Model 3, to the Tesla Semi. Dorian graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Lorraine Akiba joins Teragen Energy as a Regulatory Advisor, guiding Teragen’s regulatory framework and policy alignment. Lorraine is a leader and senior advisor in energy, public policy, and corporate ESG. Lorraine was a Public Utilities Commissioner in the State of Hawaii, where she provided regulatory leadership to implement the country’s first commitment to 100% clean energy and decarbonization goals by 2045. She also served as a Member of Board of Directors at National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), formulating strategic guidance for utility business model transformation during a time of dynamic change. Lorraine holds a JD from U.C. Law San Francisco and a B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley.
Mike Tucker joins Teragen Energy as a Technical Advisor, supporting Teragen’s core technology development. Dr. Tucker is currently a Staff Scientist in Energy Technologies and Systems Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). He leads the solid oxide cell R&D effort at LBNL, and was co-founder and CTO of Point Source Power, which focused on solid oxide fuel cell personal power products. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.S. degree from Brown University.
David Peterson joins Teragen Energy as a Technical Advisor, aiding Teragen’s technical program development. Dr. Peterson has over 30 years of broad-based experience with hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. Most recently, he led the Electrolysis and Hydrogen Production Program at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Technologies Office (HFTO) at the U.S. Department of Energy. Dr. Peterson was the DOE lead on $1 billion electrolysis R&D program with responsibilities ranging from strategic program development to program execution and oversight. He also served as HFTO’s technical authority on stationary and reversible solid oxide fuel cells. Dr. David Peterson received his M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech, and his B.S. in the same discipline from the University of Virginia.
Rick Hunter joins Teragen Energy as a Strategic Advisor, providing guidance on Teragen’s market strategy and corporate partnerships. Rick is the Founder and former CEO of Pivot Energy, a leading distributed generation independent power producer. Under his leadership, Pivot Energy grew to become one of the largest companies in its market segment, eventually attracting major investment from Energy Capital Partners. Pivot Energy has secured over $3 billion in capital throughout its history and now partners with some of the largest companies and utilities across the U.S. Rick holds a PhD in Philosophy from Saint Louis University and a B.A. from The University of Tulsa.
Esben Pedersen joins Teragen Energy as a Finance Advisor, supporting Teragen’s corporate strategy and capital formation. Esben is currently an Operating Partner at Sandbrook Capital, a private investment firm in energy infrastructure. Prior to joining Sandbrook, he was the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Pattern Energy, growing the company from start-up to one of the world’s leading renewable energy independent power companies. As CFO, he managed the company through material growth and capital formation, including its IPO, overseeing the financing of one of the world’s largest renewables projects, a take-private restructuring, and overseeing public company financing and reporting. Esben holds an undergraduate degree in business from Stetson University and a master’s degree in international economics from Johns Hopkins University.
